Led by David Knight, Cake Engineering has a particular expertise in the design and independent checking of bridge structures. We provide a full structural engineering consultancy service for private or public clients, including structural design, specification and building control calculations. We have worked on projects as small as modifications to private residences through to design and checking services for sculptures, highway structures and footbridges.

As part of the Cake Group, we draw on extensive fabrication expertise to ensure that every design is grounded in buildability and efficient construction. While we specialise in steel and timber structures, our experience spans a wide range of materials, and we are committed to pushing the boundaries of structural design while promoting sustainable construction practices.
