Rickmansworth Aquadrome Footbridge

A new 30m span steel footbridge was needed to maintain direct access from the town centre to Rickmansworth Aquadrome for exercise and recreation. Cake Engineering carried out the conceptual design, proposing a steel arched truss with simple approach ramps, and took the design through to detailed design for construction. Bespoke parapet details mimicked the trussed form of the bridge creating a strong visual reference for this gateway project.
